   Synopsis

Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.

Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?–punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick…

                                                   My thoughts

Off the bat I was intrigued with this book. I was originally looking for a light heated, fun book to read and was really happy when I came across this book at my local book store. Starting off with the main characters, Simon and Caroline, I loved them both, I love how their friendship grew as you kept on reading. Their silly banter back and forth was entertaining and playful. Their chemistry was well written. This is the first book that I have read where the author actually writes the characters as friends first before they jump into the sack. The plot itself was different than anything I have read, Caroline is a successful woman who doesn’t need a man to dominate her life. Simon was also very different from most male characters, he is respectful, kind and does not expect much.

There were some parts where I was wondering when the “good stuff” was going to happen. The sexual tension between the two characters was unbearable. At times I felt bad for them but in the end it was worth the wait. The last character that I quite enjoyed reading about was Clive the cat. He had many funny moments in the book. I have a new found love for cats.

Over all, it was a good read, if you are looking for a entertaining book with a good plot, I would suggest this book. I really enjoyed this book, I wish the author would of written a sequel.

Thanks for stopping by!
